Library

What's in the library?

IMH has a lending library of more than 1,500 resources in many different formats, including:-

  • books
  • reports
  • training packs
  • videos
  • DVDs, CD Roms and audio cassettes
  • leaflets
  • magazines and journals
  • articles

The library reflects our aims, and our approach to mental health. As well as 'hard information' on topics such as conditions, treatments and services, it contains art, poetry, feature films, personal testimonies, historical and theoretical texts, and much more.

We have some resources, including leaflets, CD Roms and audio cassettes, in a variety of community languages.

We buy new resources regularly.

Who can use the library?

Anybody can come and visit IMH and use our library.  You can borrow resources if you join the library. We have more than 200 library members.

Audio-visual equipment

We have a range of audio-visual equipment for loan.

Information sessions

We run regular information sessions in our library about the work we do, how to use the library and the on-line directory, and how we can help you.
