Disability Alliance is committed to breaking the link between disability and poverty. It provides information about social security benefits to disabled people, their carers and advisers through publications (like 'the Disability Rights Handbook' - 27th edition costs �13.00, or �9.00 to those on benefit - and 'Moving Into Work'.) Free briefings and factsheets are available by stamped addressed envelope or from the website; the Rights Advice LIne gives advice by phone, and their training courses vary from a basic introduction to disability benefits to advanced specialist benefits.
