You have a crisis if you have a big problem in your life now. This may affect all parts of your life. You may feel that you can’t cope at all. You may be worried that you will hurt yourself, or someone else, or even kill yourself. At this point it may be very important for you to get help, but this may only need to be for a short time, until you are over the crisis.
You can get help if you are in a crisis. You may need:-
to talk to someone about how you are feeling
someone to take care of your children
to stay somewhere that is not your home
to go somewhere, such as a hospital, where you will be looked after
treatment, including medication
If you are in a crisis it can feel like things will never get any better, and there is nothing you can do. Most people do come through a crisis, and get better.
