Service details:

The 0-16 Team has several functions. 1. Assessement:First point of referral to CAMHS, unless it is an emergency eg severe self harm, psychosis,suicide attempts. Initial assessment will identify the most appropriate service intervention. 2. Short Term Intervention with children and Families: (up to 8 sessions) the team offers therapeutic work to children, young people and their families who are presenting a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties and parenting difficulties. 3.Information and Consultation to Professionals: In addition to information - giving the team may offer consultancy to a tier 1 professional who is already involved with a family. 4. Training: offered to Tier 1 professionals.
